18TH MECHANISED DIVISION
named after Lieutenant General Tadeusz Buk, known as the “Iron Division”
Explore
The Latin motto Defendere Patriam Lex Nostra became the central theme of the design. It surrounds the division's identifying badge, enclosed by a chain of digits 1 and 8 referring to the unit's number.

The division wanted to include two important motifs, which became the decoration on the ring's sides. One depicts Leopard tanks used by the division. The other refers to the renowned 21st Podhale Rifles Brigade, part of the 18th Mechanised Division.
