Many hours of drawing and concept sketches, productive discussions with General Staff representatives and painstaking refinement of every detail led to the final design. Nothing was left to chance: the result was carefully considered and aligned with the command's expectations.

The left panel features the General Staff badge, the Saxon Palace, the Warsaw Mermaid and a lancer. These motifs refer to the history of Warsaw and the headquarters of the General Staff.

The right panel features the eagles of four principal branches of the Armed Forces. They are gathered beneath the wing of an eagle holding a sceptre, symbolising the authority and overarching role of the General Staff.
